_______________________________________________
I established my appraisal business in 1989 after
being tested in the Appraisal of Appreciable Residential
Contents and Certified Appraisal of Personal Property through
the International Society of Appraisers. Since then, I’ve been
appraising full time for hundreds of clients, coast to coast.
Qualifications
My academic background and credentials are listed in my
resume
as an Acrobat PDF file here.
Experience
In the past 21 years, I have examined thousands upon thousands
of objects (antique furniture, silver, crystal, porcelain,
decorative arts, furs, and oriental rugs) from all over the
world.
I know first hand:
-
the many levels
and forces in the marketplace
-
key considerations when establishing
the appropriate value(s)
-
functions for each individual
appraisal.
Your personal buying habits are critical
in determining valuation for insurance purposes. I will
work with you to answer these critical questions:
-
Did you
purchase from an antique shop while on vacation?
-
Did you hire
a qualified designer?
-
Who selected, traveled, purchased, and
then placed each item in your home or office?
Where you shop,
how you acquire and at what level you purchase are all
significant considerations (especially when there is a
damage/loss claim).
